We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join the Middle East Finance team of our client based in Dubai. This vital role within the Finance department involves providing robust support to the Finance Manager and the wider business, as well as assisting with the development and enhancement of the firm’s accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with central service team colleagues to oversee all aspects of accounts payable operations, ensuring compliance with the firm's policies and upholding the integrity of the general and accounts payable ledgers.
- Manage online payment processing, including approvals, submissions, and monitoring.
- Handle vendor invoices using the firm’s Concur system, ensuring accurate entry and coding to the correct accounts.
- Conduct audits on supporting documents to verify approvals, correct coding, and payment support prior to disbursement.
- Coordinate with banks to analyze and resolve payment process issues.
- Perform reconciliations of general ledgers, balance sheets, supplier, and client accounts with support from the central service team.
- Participate in cash flow management and bank reconciliations.
- Manage and reconcile the firm's petty cash, travel invoices, and related expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules during the processing of professional disbursements.
- Administer the firm's benefits, including medical and life insurance and pension payments, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reconciliation.
- Suggest improvements for shared services in collaboration with the central service and finance teams.
- You are located in Dubai.
- Possess an Accountancy degree with 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a Middle East law firm environment.
- Proficient in SAP Accounting Software and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and SRA Accounts Rules.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information, organize audits, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the firm.
