Marketing Jobs in Dubai and the Middle East
Marketing roles in international law firms in the Middle East are some of the most varied and genuinely interesting positions in the legal business services market. You are rarely doing one thing. You are managing a firm's profile, supporting partners, coordinating events, handling directory submissions, maintaining social media and, in many cases, crossing into business development territory as well. If you thrive on variety and you are genuinely curious about the business of law, this is a rewarding world to work in.
Barratt Galvin has been placing marketing professionals into international law firms across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh and Doha since 2007. We understand this market well and we are often the first call a firm makes when a marketing role opens up. The best time to register with us is before you are actively looking. Every time a new job comes in, the first place we look is our existing network. If we already know you, we are giving you first access to roles that are not even advertised.

Why Register for Marketing Roles with Barratt Galvin
Marketing careers in law firms have their own particular trajectory, and understanding that trajectory takes experience in this specific world. We know what a marketing coordinator role actually involves at an international law firm in the Middle East, what the step up to manager level really means and what firms are genuinely looking for when they brief us on a combined BD and Marketing position. That knowledge shapes every conversation we have with our candidates.
We work closely with the people who make hiring decisions for marketing roles across the region, and we hear about roles before they are advertised. Some of our best placements happen before a brief ever reaches a job board. A firm calls us, we go straight to the people we know and within days the right candidate is already in conversation. If you are not in our network when that happens, you may miss out on a job that is perfect for you.
When we put your name forward to a firm, you are someone we know, someone we have spoken with at length and someone we are prepared to stand behind and advocate for throughout the process. We will present you properly, brief the firm on your experience and explain clearly why we think you are the right fit. We do not send CVs without context and we do not put your name forward without your knowledge.
Whether you are looking to move firms, step up to a more senior role or explore what the Middle East market looks like for someone with your background, we will give you an honest picture and help you think through your options. We are in this for the long term and many of the marketing professionals we have worked with have come back to us at every stage of their career.
Are You the Right Fit for our Marketing Jobs?
Experience within a law firm or professional services marketing environment is the foundation we look for. The marketing professionals who excel in international law firms in the Middle East tend to be versatile, commercially aware and genuinely comfortable working in a fast-moving, partner-led environment. If the following sounds like you, we would love to talk.
You understand that your output reflects directly on the firm's reputation. Whether you are drafting a partner bio, managing a Legal 500 submission, updating the website or coordinating a client event, you bring the same level of care and precision to all of it. You are organised and proactive, comfortable managing multiple workstreams at once and not fazed by shifting priorities.
At coordinator and assistant level, hands-on experience with the practical tasks of law firm marketing, from directory submissions and collateral management to social media and lawyer profile management, is what we look for. At manager level and above, we expect a broader strategic perspective alongside that executional capability. You need to understand the BD context your marketing sits within, be confident advising partners and, in most Middle East offices, be comfortable carrying a broad remit with the support of a central team based elsewhere.
Marketing Roles in International Law Firms
Roles We Place
We recruit across the full range of marketing roles for international law firms, including:
Marketing Assistant
Marketing Coordinator
Marketing Executive
Marketing Advisor
Marketing Manager
BD and Marketing Manager
Senior Marketing Manager
Head of Marketing
We also place candidates in combined BD and Marketing roles, which reflect the reality of how most international law firms in the Middle East structure their teams. If your experience spans both functions, you are well positioned for the majority of briefs we receive in this market.
Where the Roles Are
We recruit for international law firms across the Middle East, with the strongest volume of roles in:
- Dubai, including the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC)
- Abu Dhabi, including Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM)
- Riyadh
- Doha
We also place marketing professionals in Australia and London for candidates who are considering a move or returning home. If you are open to more than one market, let us know and we will keep you in mind across all of them.
Considering a Move to the Middle East
If you are based in Australia or the UK and you are thinking about a move to the Middle East, we are happy to hear from you. International law firms across Dubai and Abu Dhabi hire marketing professionals from both markets and the opportunities are genuine for the right candidates.
Firms are selective about international hires and the candidates who make successful moves tend to have solid marketing or combined BD and Marketing experience within an international or top-tier law firm. If that describes you and you are genuinely open to the region, get in touch and let us have an honest conversation about what is realistic.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the process work when I register with Barratt Galvin?
The first step is a meeting with us via Microsoft Teams. Once you get in touch and share your CV, we will arrange a time to connect properly. We want to understand your marketing experience, the firms and environments you have worked in, what you are looking for in your next role and what your timeline looks like. From there, we will brief you on any live roles that may be a match, or keep you in mind as new jobs come in. We will never put your name forward without speaking to you first.
Do I need to have worked in a law firm specifically, or will other professional services experience be considered?
Law firm experience is strongly preferred, particularly for roles at manager level and above. The dynamics of a partnership structure, the expectations around quality and the particular rhythms of legal marketing are things that candidates with prior law firm exposure tend to navigate much more comfortably. That said, strong professional services marketing experience from a Big Four firm or similar environment can work well at certain levels, and we will always give you an honest view of how your background sits in the current market.
Most of my experience is in BD rather than pure marketing. Will that work against me?
In this market, it is more likely to work in your favour. The majority of marketing roles at international law firms in the Middle East span both BD and marketing functions. Candidates who can genuinely cover both are in high demand and short supply. If your background is primarily BD with some marketing exposure, or vice versa, that breadth is exactly what most firms are looking for.
What does a typical marketing remit look like in a Middle East law firm?
In most international law firms in the region, particularly smaller offices, one marketing professional carries a broad remit. This typically includes directory and awards submissions such as Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, website content and updates, social media management, drafting and maintaining partner and lawyer bios and LinkedIn profiles, collateral management, event coordination and varying degrees of BD support depending on the firm. In larger offices the remit may be more defined, but versatility is almost always valued.
What salary can I expect in a marketing role in Dubai?
Marketing salaries in Dubai vary depending on your seniority, the scope of the role and whether it spans BD as well. We publish an annual salary report covering marketing and BD roles across the Middle East. Get in touch and we will share the latest data with you.
Do you work with candidates looking for roles in Australia or London as well?
Yes. While our primary focus is the Middle East, we do support candidates looking for roles in Australia and London. In Australia, we place across the major legal markets including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. If you are considering your options across more than one market, let us know and we will factor that into our conversations with you.
