The Opportunity:

An opportunity is available for a Legal Assistant with Trade Mark expertise, to join a highly regarded international law firm in Sydney's CBD.

This job is best suited to an experienced TM Assistant, or Senior TM Secretary who is looking for a step up.

Working in the wider IP / TMT department, you will oversee Trade Mark matters and be responsible for drafting and sending direct client communication with little to no supervision.  As such, you must be confident and knowledgeable of the Trade Mark process, and have excellent communication skills.

Your further responsibilities will include monitoring the system to ensure deadlines are recorded and met, cross referencing files for cost estimates, time recording and producing monthly bills, and general legal administration.

There is room to implement new or improved processes, so someone with knowledge and confidence to do so would be welcome!

The Requirements:

Listed below are the minimum expectations for technical skills, experience and qualifications which individuals need to meet in order to perform their role:
  • Previous experience of working in a trade mark practice in an Assistant or Secretarial capacity;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and correspondence drafting skills;
  • A polished and professional communication style;
  • A high performer with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and conflicting priorities.
