An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced Real Estate Legal Assistant to join a leading global law firm based in Melbourne. This position offers the chance to contribute to high-profile real estate transactions and projects within a dynamic and supportive work environment.
The firm is looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant to support its Real Estate practice. The successful candidate will provide support to a Partner and their team in a varied, collaborative and exciting practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day operations of the real estate team, assisting with document preparation, filings, and transaction management.
- Manage calendar and billing for key team members, ensuring deadlines are met and billing processes are accurate.
- Engage directly with clients, providing updates and maintaining strong communication channels.
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to facilitate the smooth progression of real estate transactions.
- Assume responsibility for additional administrative tasks as required, ensuring all duties are performed with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably within a real estate or property law environment;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting;
- Excellent communication abilities, with the confidence to interact effectively with both internal team members and external clients;
- Proficient in using legal software and systems, with demonstrated experience managing timesheets and legal billing;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team, showing initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving;
- Experience in property law is highly desirable, providing a valuable foundation for handling complex real estate matters.
