An exciting opportunity has arisen for an intermediate secretary with a minimum of four to five years of experience to join the Banking & Finance practice group of a leading Australian law firm. This role supports two partners, one lawyer, and one law graduate, and collaborates closely with other fee earners and secretaries within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative assistance, including typing and collation of various legal documents such as commercial contracts, deeds, agreements, finance documents, and securities.
- Prepare Transaction Bibles.
- Manage correspondence, including memos and email communications.
- Handle timesheet data entry and preparation of client accounts (billing).
- Oversee file and diary management, including travel bookings.
- Maintain and archive files, including electronic file management and email management.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required.
- At least four to five years of experience as a legal secretary.
- First-class organizational and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Outlook and Word.
- Accurate typing, spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Experience in timesheet data entry and billing.
- Previous experience in private practice.
- Knowledge of Expert software (desirable).
- Shorthand skills (desirable).
- Experience in banking & finance (desirable).
