A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Planning and Environment Lawyer with 3-5 years of experience to join the property, planning, and environment team at this leading independent law firm. This role promises ongoing challenges and personal development, offering the chance to manage your own caseload while receiving support from experienced partners and senior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle litigation and provide advice on planning and environmental matters, including development assessment, compliance, and enforcement.
- Conduct due diligence investigations for the acquisition and disposal of development, agricultural, commercial, and residential sites.
- Negotiate land resumptions and manage related legal processes.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Planning and Environment Lawyer, with strong litigation skills.
- Knowledge of Queensland’s planning and environmental laws, regulations, and policies, or a desire to build on this knowledge if transferring from another jurisdiction.
- A proactive work ethic, technical expertise, and excellent organizational skills.
- The ability to deliver timely and practical solutions to complex legal issues.
- Dedication to exceptional client service and building long-term client relationships.
