The Opportunity:
A premier law firm is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Legal Administrative Assistant to assist with their Litigation team in Melbourne.
This opportunity is perfect for someone eager to continue their administrative career within a professional legal environment. The position involves providing comprehensive support to Legal Assistants and Lawyers across the wider Disputes practice and offering leave coverage for the team.
This role is an 18-month contract with a full-time working schedule. It is not open to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general administrative duties such as document management, filing, and binding;
- Handle the opening and closing of matters, and conduct conflict searches;
- Manage time entries, process third-party invoices, and handle team expenses;
- Prepare documents including letters, contracts, and general correspondence;
- Assist with the preparation and drafting of court documents.
- Provide support with monthly billing tasks.
- At least 1 years of experience in a corporate office support setting;
- Motivation to build a rewarding career in professional services;
- A customer service mindset with the confidence to build and maintain relationships;
- Strong initiative and a willingness to learn and take on new tasks;
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- The ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
